LEARN TO SKATE
The Starting Point for Every Hockey Player's Journey
Designed for beginners to learn the fundamentals of skating. (ages 4-12)
Adult/Teen classes now available.
Specialized Hockey Skating Skills classes focusing on agility, speed, balance and coordination to complement the Learn to Play experience.
Instruction and games are age and level appropriate with professional instructors.
Rental Skates are provided free of charge.
Questions about Learn to Skate?
Skaters can be moved up from Learn To Skate to Learn To Play Hockey at any point in a session, so if you are unsure of your skaters level, enroll them in LTS to allow our coaches to make that determination if they are ready to move up.
LEARN TO PLAY
Once you are proficient in skating, begin your journey in learning to play the great sport of hockey! Your first set of gear is provided, free of charge, from the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation.
The Next Step in Development
Designed as the natural progression from Learn to Skate so beginners can gain experience and confidence in the game
Cross-ice games and station-based drills to learn basic foundational skill sets
7 Session for ages 4-12 who have completed LTS
First-time learn-to-play participants are provided all the equipment (without skates) to keep.
Rental Skates are provided free of charge.

No! The Jr Cyclones offer a Learn to Skate program as well as a Learn to Play program.
Full equipment is required for all ages and levels of play. This includes skates, shin guards, pants, jock/jill protector, shoulder pads, elbow pads, neck guard, mouth guard, and hockey specific helmet with cage or full clear face shield.
Brand new equipment is provided for all of our LTPH participants courtesy of our Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation. After a player's completion and graduation from our LTPH program, players will keep all their equipment that was provided free of charge.
The Jr Cyclones will field teams at every age and competition level that registrations will allow.
No. The Jr Cyclones will offer teams at all ages and skill levels based on registrations. Everyone that wants to join the Jr Cyclones Hockey Family will be welcomed with open arms.
